Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch says she looks forward to standing with Governor Scott Walker on the campaign trail and spoke confidently about the positive gains occurring all across Wisconsin. (audio here)

Rebecca noted that she’s “proud of what happened over the last year and month of our time in office because we have seen tremendous reform in the state of Wisconsin and the reforms are working.”

Kleefisch will receive votes in her own election, but she expects she and Governor Walker will campaign together, because “we’re a team” and she stands behind the governor’s “great decisions” that lead to reforms and balancing the budget.

In a recent interview with Today’s TMJ4 , Rebecca Kleefisch was confident about the outcome of the recall election. ”We want to make sure this process has a good deal of integrity. But if we go back on the ballot, if that is the process we have to go through again, then we will win,” said Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch.

Kleefisch plans on continuing her job of bringing jobs to Wisconsin. “In case anybody got distracted for a minute there, Wisconsin is open for business,” she wrote on her official Rebecca Kleefisch Facebook account the day after recall signatures were submitted.

Wisconsin’s Governor Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch toured MCL Industries in Pulaski, Wisconsin before unveiling Walker’s Wisconsin Working plan.

MCL manufactures electrical control systems and mechanical assemblies for the heavy-duty vehicle industry and beyond.

Governor Walker continues his focus on job creation and economic growth. After the Administration’s Special Cabinet on Economic and Workforce Investment listened to job creators, job seekers and government officials, they recommended an initial phase of policy changes and agency collaboration to ensure job seekers connect with current job needs, while building the skills necessary for family-supporting jobs.

“Wisconsin continues to work together to foster an environment of economic stability and job creation,” said Governor Walker. “These new initiatives will help connect Wisconsin workers to available jobs, so they can provide for their families.”

“The Governor’s Administration remains focused on helping Wisconsin workers find jobs,” said Lt. Governor Kleefisch. “The initial phase of his Wisconsin Working plan concentrates on aligning Wisconsin’s current job creators with our state’s current job seekers, while equipping job seekers with the skills they need to succeed.”

“Ask a chamber of commerce executive in Wisconsin how the business climate is today, and you’re likely to hear “Wisconsin is open for business.” So begins an article in the Superior Telegram, detailing the results of a survey of 90 Chamber of Commerce executives in Wisconsin.

The study revealed that executives are optimistic about Wisconsin’s business climate, with the highest percentage in four years — 60 percent — expecting moderate growth in their communities.

Results show that Wisconsin’s business leaders are following the leadership of Governor Walker and Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch as they continue to “Open Wisconsin For Business” by creating a climate that encourages growth and new business.

An Osseo, Wisconsin company has announced a $10 million expansion that will add 111 jobs – a sign that Wisconsin’s “Open For Business” slogan is for real. The expansion at Global Finishing Solutions is the first sign that the slogan is audible all the way south of the U.S. border.

After moving a facility from Canada to Mexico, GFS CEO Rick Binder realized that bringing the jobs to Osseo would attract the highly skilled workers his corporation craved.

The expansion will add over 50,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space and will allow the company to consolidate all manufacturing operations in Osseo, where it currently has around 270 workers. Much of the manufacturing work was moved from a plant in Monterrey, Mexico. GFS will continue to have a Canadian office that handles sales, engineering, marketing and parts and filters, and a Mexican office for sales and support.
