Kleefisch Outraises Rivals – Again
Once again, state campaign finance reports show that Rebecca Kleefisch’s campaign for Lt. Governor has raised more than her Republican rivals in the most recent reporting period. In fact, Kleefisch has raised more than $203,000 in the first eight months of 2010 compared to just $162,000 for her nearest competitor, state filings reveal.
“While my rivals had a head start, our surging finances are just one more sign of the powerful momentum we are feeling in the campaign”, said Kleefisch. “We are optimistic that our support will keep growing right up to election night.”
In the most recent reporting period covering the months of July and August, Kleefisch raised $67,187 compared to $53,577 for Brett Davis and $7,215 for Dave Ross. Kleefisch, who began her campaign on January 19th of this year, had raised $203,822.10 by the August 30th reporting deadline. So far this year, Brett Davis has raised $162,746.21 and Dave Ross has raised $21,024.41.
“I am deeply honored by the extraordinary support we are receiving from grassroots conservative supporters across the state,” said Kleefisch noting that nearly 98% of her funds came from individual contributors. “More than 1000 people have contributed to our efforts to set Wisconsin on a new path of fiscal discipline and kitchen table common sense.”
Kleefisch has been endorsed by former Lt. Governor Margaret Farrow and State Senator Glenn Grothman as well as by Wisconsin Right to Life, Wisconsin Family PAC and Pro Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC.
